Promoting the connection between our communities and nature

Promoting the connection between our communities and nature

Our company's positive transformation requires everyone's involvement. This is why Groupe Rocher is committed beyond its own structures, markets and businesses to highlight not only the environmental challenges of our time, but also initiatives that can inspire action on a broader scale.

Global mobilisation, local pride

At Yves Rocher Asia, many CSR initiatives are being developed: initiatives aimed at teams, naturally, but also local partners and agents. In Indonesia, the teams support the Bye Bye Plastic Bag Bali movement by holding a beach clean-up day and donating €5,000 to the association. In Mongolia, Yves Rocher hosted the “Nature is our Future” event highlighting the work of Mongolian women involved in inspiring environmental projects. In Malaysia, the teams in shops are working to promote the use of recyclable bags.
These are just a few of the many actions that are a source of incredible pride!

Committing to laying roots for the future

The Yves Rocher Foundation launched the Plant for the Planet programme more than 12 years ago to counter massive deforestation around the world. Replanting means bringing the soil back to life, pushing back deserts and reconnecting humans to the energy of nature and the magic of trees. Today, the Foundation supports more than 40 NGOs in France and abroad. Thanks to everyone's efforts, a tree is planted every three seconds.

“2019 was a memorable year for the Yves Rocher Foundation. By decree of the French Council of State, it became a Recognised Foundation of Public Utility: a confirmation of our role as a major player in environmental protection.” Marie-Anne Gasnier, General Delegate of the Yves Rocher Foundation

OUTSIDE THE WALLS

The Daniel Jouvance Foundation has been working to preserve the marine world for nearly 12 years. In particular, it promotes the teaching of marine biology and ecology in developing countries such as Namibia, Chile and Brazil. The Foundation is also pursuing its Coeur de Corail® initiative, created in collaboration with the association Coral Guardians, to better protect these wonderful and vital ecosystems.

THE BIODIVERSIDAY AWARD

To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Yves Rocher brand in France, we wanted to spotlight our sales force's commitment to protecting biodiversity. Hence the idea for this award! All the nominees shared highly inspiring initiatives: a vegetable garden on a roof-top terrace in the city, waste collection during holidays, recycling coffee grounds in companies, etc. We can't wait for the next edition!

TODAY

Our adventure is just getting started. Many sites and subsidiaries around the world are now mobilising their sales force. But we want even more. Our mission to reconnect people to nature is 100% collective: everyone has a role to play.

LOOKING TOWARDS 2030

The group encourages all its brands to support research and action in the field through partner associations or local conservation organisations. We need to use all our energy to move forward.
