Shining beyond our walls

Shining beyond our walls

To go further, we must take action together. So to speed up change at a wider scale, we are working alongside public institutions, scientists and committed companies, who share our desire for change.

Groupe Rocher: a company committed to nature

Our group, alongside 64 companies from a variety of sectors, has made commitments to the “Entreprises engagées pour la nature - Act4nature” initiative. It promotes voluntary inclusion of biodiversity issues in all activities, from strategy to operations. Based on the principle of co-development, Act4nature encourages employees and stakeholders to contribute to, promote positive emulation and inspire spontaneous actions.

Climate marches - Yves Rocher Spain takes action

To highlight its support for the global strike on September the 27th 2019, the subsidiary's teams posted (excellent) photos on social networks to illustrate their commitment to climate issues and their support for protesters. During the week before the protest, Yves Rocher Spain took action to raise awareness, including the photo contest #YRporelclima. The rules of the game? Share your favourite photo of nature.

These actions reflect the strong commitment of the subsidiary who signed the Biodiversity Pact put forth by the IEES (Spanish Companies and Biodiversity Initiative) in 2013.

¡Larga vida a Yves Rocher España!

For Groupe Rocher, being an ambassador for biodiversity means demonstrating concrete achievements to national and international institutions. It also means sharing within academic communities and participating in major events. And let's not forget: always having discussions with our employees who are active in the We R Change movement.”

BREAKING DOWN WALLS BETWEEN COMPANIES, SCIENTISTS AND PUBLIC AUTHORITIES

We have contributed to the IPBES* for the second consecutive year. This platform acts as a science-policy interface between experts and governments on issues of biodiversity and ecosystem services.

TODAY

On March the 06th 2020, we signed the European Plastics Pact. Based on ambitious targets in how the plastics life cycle is managed, this pact is fully aligned with our goals.

LOOKING TOWARDS 2030

As part of our approach to responsibility, we want to act as a true ambassador of the reconnection to nature. That's why we created our Nature Barometer. Its purpose? Analyse how people perceive the link between biodiversity and well-being everywhere we operate. Naturally, this international index is also there to inspire more sharing between our communities!
