INVENTING TOGETHER THE NEXT
GENERATION OF GIFTS

What is the main mission of DOPA (Division of Operations in Asia)?

Our Shanghai-based team manages a good portion of the group's purchases in the region. The lion's share of our activity concerns gifts, in which we invest nearly 50 million euros each year. The vast majority of these products (bags, watches, blankets, fleeces, etc.) are made in China.

How does your team support the group's commitment to CSR?

For ten years, we have conducted audits to make sure our local partners comply with our expectations in terms of quality, social and environmental responsibility. Today, we carry out around 150 audits per year, adding new criterias such as women's rights. This exercise allows us to develop a network of partners that always fits our ambitions in terms of responsibility. Of course, we take care to support them through training and raising awareness.

Should certain sites not tick all our boxes, we ask them to take corrective measures which are then the subject of follow-up inspections. It takes teamwork!

What are your areas of improvement for the future?

Our DOPA team is clearly invested in identifying opportunities for the next generation of gifts and products in line with our commitment to CSR and our desire to innovate. Thus, it is essential that we make progress in terms of sourcing more natural materials. We are also stepping up our projects in cardboard packaging and are working on certifying a recycled plastic unit. Finally, we want to bring all our brands on board so they can benefit from our proven model. Until now, Yves Rocher has been our spearhead, but we are absolutely certain that many synergies can be found if we work together.

There are loads of reasons to be optimistic!
