EXPANDING FRONTIERS

Tell us about the Atelier des Primevères!

Our sheltered workshop was created in 1994 by Groupe Rocher in La Gacilly. Here, almost all of our employees have a disability. I've been working here for 10 years, including 5 as a director. And it's lovely! Our core business is manual packaging. There are no machines here, only people!

What is Les Primevères main strength?

Closeness. In addition to improving the employability of our teams (the majority of whom have physical handicaps), we support them in their administrative procedures (looking for housing, requesting benefits, etc.) and we have at heart to maintain social interactions. In our workshop, we don't talk about disability, since it's really the norm here! We don't have to worry about how others see us, so we can concentrate on our work.

What are you particularly proud of?

Today, we are mainly approached for our know-how. Sometimes, I see difficulties in the assignments we are given. But our teams, by themselves, find solutions, proving every time that there actually is no limit to what we can do. By the way, this is our challenge for the future: diversifying ourselves so that we can learn and grow together.
